Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets:

Fairview Circle, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 156 and 158 Fairview Circle to the eastern gable end of number 162 Fairview Circle from 08:00 on 20th July, 2021, until 17:00 on 21st July, 2021. An alternative route is available via Fairview Circle; Fairview Circle, Aberdeen, from the car park entrance for numbers 74-78 Fairview Circle to the gable end of number 67 Fairview Circle from 08:00 on 26th July, 2021, until 17:00 on 27th July, 2021. An alternative route is available via Fairview Circle; Fairview Circle, Aberdeen, from the car park entrance for numbers 1-19 Fairview Circle to the boundary between number 12 and 14 Fairview Circle from 08:00 on 2nd August, 2021, until 17:00 on 3rd August 2021. An alternative route is available via Fairview Circle.

Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.

There will also be a temporary one-way restriction on the A92 Mugiemoss Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Haudagain Roundabout and Mugiemoss Roundabout, and on the A92 Parkway, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Mugiemoss Roundabout and Persley Roundabout. The permitted direction of travel will be north and westbound only. from 19:30 in the evening until 06:00 the following morning on five consecutive nights, from 19:30 on 2nd August, 2021, until 06:00 on 7th August, 2021. An alternative route is available via Laurel Drive, Gordon Brae, Gordons Mills Road, Tillydrone Road, Tillydrone Avenue, St Machar Drive, and Great Northern Road.

There will also be a temporary 30mph speed restriction imposed on the C21C Upper Persley Road, Aberdeen, from Persley Roundabout to the entrance at Quarry Farm from 08:00 on 11th August, 2021, until 17:00 on 13th August 2021.

There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Fairview Circle, Fairview Grange, Fairview Street, Laurel Drive, Mill Lade Wynd, Persley Bridge Upper Persley Road. Aberdeen from 08:00 on 20th July, 2021, until 17:00 on 30th August, 2021.

Due to any ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, the no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required.

The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
