Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Bedford Avenue, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 33 and 35 Bedford Avenue to the boundary between number 38 and 40 Bedford Avenue from 08:00 on 1st July, 2021, until 17:00 on 2nd July, 2021. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. There will also be a temporary one-way restriction on Powis Crescent, Aberdeen, between its northern junction with Bedford Avenue and its southern junction with Bedford Avenue. The permitted direction of travel will be in an anti-clockwise direction only from 08:00 on 5th July, 2021, until 17:00 on 16th July. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Bedford Avenue, Powis Circle, Powis Crescent, St Machar Drive, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 1st July, 2021, until 17:00 on 11th August, 2021. Due to any ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, the no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 50 metres at a time.
