Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets:
Grosvenor Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Whitehall Place and Grosvenor Terrace from 08:00 on 8th June, 2021, until 17:00 on 9th June, 2021. An alternative route is available via Whitehall Place, Esslemont Avenue and Belgrave Terrace; Grosvenor Place, Aberdeen, from the boundary between 27 and 31 Grosvenor Place to the boundary between 33 and 35 Grosvenor Place from 08:00 on 10th June, 2021, until 17:00 on 11th June, 2021. An alternative route is available via Whitehall Place, Esslemont Avenue and Belgrave Terrace; Belgrave Terrace, Aberdeen, from its junction with Esslemont Avenue to the entrance for Rosemount Community Education Centre/Police station from 08:00 on 14th June, 2021, until 17:00 on 15th June, 2021. An alternative route is available via Esslemont Avenue, Whitehall Place and Grosvenor Place; Short Loanings, Aberdeen, from its junction with Rosemount Place to the gable end of number 46 Short Loanings from 08:00 on 16th June, 2021, until 17:00 on 17th June, 2021. An alternative route is available via Rosemount Place, Richmond Street and Leadside Road.
The one-way system on Short Loanings will be suspended to allow egress from properties.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Belgrave Terrace, Craigie Loanings, Eden Place, Esslemont Avenue, Grosvenor Place, Grosvenor Terrace, Langbrae House, Rosemount Place, Short Loanings, Whitehall Place, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 28th May, 2021, until 17:00 on 8th July, 2021.
Due to any ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, the no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required.
