Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Short Loanings, Aberdeen, from the car park entrance to number 8-10 Short Loanings to the boundary between number 11 and 13 Short Loanings from 08:00 on 5th May, 2021, until 17:00 on 6th May, 2021. An alternative route is available via Rosemount Place, Richmond Street and Leadside Road. There will also be a prohibition of driving on Short Loanings, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Leadside Road and the car park entrance at the gable end of number 9 Short Loanings from 08:00 on 10th May, 2021, until 17:00 on 11th May, 2021. An alternative route is available via Rosemount Place, Richmond Street and Leadside Road.
The one-way system on Short Loanings will be suspended during these times to allow egress from properties.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Kintore Place, Leadside Road, Richmond Street, Richmond Walk, Rosemount Place, Short Loanings, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 5th May 2021, until 17:00 on 25th May, 2021.
Due to any ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, the no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required.

The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
