Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets: Mastrick Junction, Aberdeen, between its junction with Cairnwell Avenue and the boundary between number 20 and 22 Mastrick Junction. An alternative route is available via Mastrick Road and Upper Mastrick Way. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the same stretch of road from 08:00 on 9th March, 2021, until 17:00 on 10th March, 2021;New Park Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Arnage Drive and the gable end of number 32 New Park Road. An alternative route is available via Arnage Drive, East Main Avenue and Mastrick Drive. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the same stretch of road from 08:00 on 10th March, 2021, until 17:00 on 11th March, 2021; Spey Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Strathmore Drive and the boundary between number 4 and 6 Spey Road. An alternative route is available via Upper Mastrick Way, Ugie Place and Strathmore Drive; There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the same stretch of road from 08:00 on 15th March, 2021, until 17:00 on 16th March, 2021;Cairnwell Avenue, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Clunie Place and Cairnwell Place. An alternative route is available via Cairnwell Place, Craigendarroch Place and Invercauld Road. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the same stretch of road from 08:00 on 17th March, 2021, until 17:00 on 18th March, 2021; Fernhill Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Fernhill Drive and the gable end of number 2 Fernhill Road from 08:00 on 10th February, 2021, until 17:00 on 11th February, 2021. An alternative route is available via Fernhill Drive, Greenfern Road and Greenfern Avenue. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the same stretch of road from 08:00 on 18th March, 2021, until 17:00 on 19th March, 2021. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
