Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
School Drive, Aberdeen, between its junction with School Road and a point 15 metres in a southerly direction from 08:00 on 15th October, 2020, until 17:00 on 16th October, 2020. An alternative route is available via School Road and School Avenue; School Drive, Aberdeen, between its junction with School Place and the boundary between numbers 218-224 and 226-232 School Drive from 08:00 on 20th October, 2020, until 17:00 on 21st October, 2020. An alternative route is available via School Road and School Avenue; School Drive, Aberdeen, between the entrance to the car park for numbers 86-88 School Drive to the boundary between numbers 106-112 and 114-120 School Drive from 08:00 on 22nd October, 2020, until 17:00 on 23rd October, 2020. An alternative route is available via School Road and School Avenue.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Golf Road, School Drive, School Place, School Road, School Terrace, School Walk, Seaton Road, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 13th October, 2020, until 17:00 on 23rd November, 2020.
Due to any ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, the no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required.
The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 50 metres at a time. For an update as to when the no-waiting restrictions will be implemented please contact GCU (UK) Ltd on 07940333452
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
