Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary one-way restriction on Fountainhall Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Queens Cross Roundabout and Kings Gate from 08:00 on 3rd October, 2020, until 17:00 on 4th October, 2020 and also from 08:00 on 17th October, 2020, until 17:00 on 18th October, 2020.The permitted direction of travel will be northbound only. An alternative route for southbound vehicles is available via Beechgrove Terrace, Whitehall Road, Prince Arthur Street and Carden Place
Also, there will be a temporary prohibition of driving on Desswood Place, Aberdeen, between its junction with Fountainhall Road and the rear of number 48 Fountainhall Road, and also between its junctions with Fountainhall Road and Fountainhall Lane West, from 08:00 on 3rd October, 2020, until 17:00 on 4th October, 2020. Alternative routes are available via Fountainhall Road, Hamilton Place and Blenheim Place, and via Fountainhall Road, Carlton Place and Forest Road.
There will also be a temporary prohibition of driving on Desswood Lane, Aberdeen, between its junction with Fountainhall Road and a point 15 metres in a westerly direction from 08:00 on 15th October, 2020, until 17:00 on 16th October, 2020. An alternative route is available via Fountainhall Road and Desswood Place.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Desswood Lane, Desswood Place, Fountainhall Road Aberdeen from 08:00 on 28th September, 2020, until 17:00 on 8th November, 2020.
Due to any ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, the no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required.
The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 50 metres at a time
