Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets:
Fountainhall Lane East, Aberdeen, between its junction with Hamilton Place and a point 15 metres in a southerly direction from 08:00 on 29th September, 2020, until 17:00 on 30th September, 2020. An alternative route is available via Hamilton Place, Fountainhall Road and Desswood Place; Fountainhall Lane West, Aberdeen, between its junction with Hamilton Place and a point 15 metres in a northerly direction from 08:00 on 1st October, 2020, until 17:00 on 2nd October, 2020. An alternative route is available via Hamilton Place, Fountainhall Road and Kings Gate; Fountainhall Lane West, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Hamilton Place and Carlton Place from 08:00 on 5th October, 2020, until 17:00 on 9th October, 2020; Fountainhall Lane West, Aberdeen, between its junction with Kings Gate and a point 15 metres in a southerly direction from 08:00 on 13th October, 2020, until 17:00 on 14th October, 2020. An alternative route is available via Kings Gate, Fountainhall Road and Hamilton Place; Fountainhall Lane East, Aberdeen, between its junction with Desswood Place and a point 15 metres in a northerly direction from 08:00 on 15th October, 2020, until 17:00 on 16th October, 2020. An alternative route is available via Desswood Place, Fountainhall Road and Hamilton Place; Fountainhall Lane West, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Carlton Place and Carlton Lane from 08:00 on 16th October, 2020, until 17:00 on 17th October, 2020. An alternative route is available via Carlton Place, Fountainhall Road and Desswood Place; Whitehall Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Hamilton Place and a point 15 metres in a northerly direction from 08:00 on 19th October, 2020, until 17:00 on 20th October, 2020. An alternative route is available via Hamilton Place, Fountainhall Road and Beechgrove Terrace; Fountainhall Lane West, Aberdeen, between its junction with Desswood Place and Carlton Lane from 08:00 on 21st October, 2020, until 17:00 on 22nd October, 2020. An alternative route is available via Desswood Place, Fountainhall Road and Carlton Place; Fountainhall Lane East, Aberdeen, between its junction with Desswood Place and a point 15 metres in a southerly direction from 08:00 on 26th October, 2020, until 17:00 on 27th October, 2020. An alternative route is available via Desswood Place and Fountainhall Road.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Beaconsfield Place, Beechgrove Terrace, Blenheim Place, Carlton Place, Fountainhall Lane West, Hamilton Place, Kings Gate, Whitehall Road, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 28th September, 2020, until 17:00 on 8th November, 2020.
Due to any ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, the no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required.
