Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the order, which will come into operation from 00:01 on 15 September 2020, until 23:59 on 12 January 2022, is to establish bays on certain lengths of George Street, Aberdeen, as specified in the schedule below, that will be reserved exclusively for vehicles that are being used to load / unload goods Schedule (Loading Bays) George Street, Aberdeen East side, from a point 44 metres or thereby south of its junction with John Street, southwards for a distance of 21 metres or thereby. East side, from a point 53 metres or thereby north of its junction with John Street, northwards for a distance of 21 metres or thereby. West side, from a point 10 metres or thereby north of its junction with Kingsland Place, northwards for a distance of 21 metres or thereby. West side, from a point 27 metres or thereby south of its junction with Hutcheon Street, southwards for a distance of 21 metres or thereby. These measures are necessary for public safety, whereby, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic, additional space is being established on roads to allow for social / physical distancing and active travel.
