Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Charleston Circle, Aberdeen, from the northern gable end on number 1 Charleston Circle to the boundary between number 4 and 6 Charleston Circle from 08:00 on 13th July, 2020, until 17:00 on 14th July, 2020. An alternative route is available via Charleston Circle; Charleston Circle, Aberdeen, from the eastern gable end on number 51 Charleston Circle to the boundary between number 53 and 55 Charleston Circle from 08:00 on 15th July, 2020, until 17:00 on 16th July, 2020. An alternative route is available via Charleston Circle; Lochinch Drive, Aberdeen, between its junction with Charleston Drive and the boundary between number 1 and 3 Lochinch Drive from 08:00 on 17th July, 2020, until 17:00 on 18th July, 2020. An alternative route is available via Charleston Drive and Lochinch Avenue; Lochinch Avenue, Aberdeen, between its junction with Lochinch Place and the boundary between number 20 and 22 Lochinch Avenue from 08:00 on 21st July, 2020, until 17:00 on 22nd July, 2020. An alternative route is available via Charleston Drive and Lochinch Drive; Lochinch Avenue, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Charleston Drive and Lochinch Road from 08:00 on 23rd July, 2020, until 17:00 on 24th July, 2020. An alternative route is available via Charleston Drive and Lochinch Drive.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Charleston Circle, Lochinch Avenue, Lochinch Drive, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 13th July, 2020, until 17:00 on 2nd August, 2020.
Due to any ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, the no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required.

The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
