Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Charleston Way, Aberdeen, between its southern junction with Charleston Crescent to the boundary between number 6 Charleston Crescent and 1 Charleston Way from 08:00 on 9th July, 2020, until 17:00 on 10th July. An alternative route is available via Charleston Crescent; Cove Crescent, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Creel Drive and Creel Place from 08:00 on 9th July, 2020, until 17:00 on 10th July, 2020. An alternative route is available via Cove Road; Cove Crescent, Aberdeen, between its junction with Cove Gardens and a point 20 metres in a north-easterly direction from 08:00 on 13th July, 2020, until 17:00 on 14th July, 2020. An alternative route is available via Cove Road; Charleston Crescent, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 17 and 19 Charleston Crescent to the boundary between number 21 and 23 Charleston Crescent from 08:00 on 14th July, 2020, until 17:00 on 15th July, 2020. An alternative route is available via Charleston Way; Creel Avenue, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Creel Road and Creel Court from 08:00 on 15th July, 2020, until 17:00 on 16th July, 2020. An alternative route is available via Creel Road, Cove Crescent and Creel Place; Charleston Crescent, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 14 and 16 Charleston Crescent to the boundary between number 18 and 20 Charleston Crescent from 08:00 on 16th July, 2020, until 17:00 on 17th July, 2020. An alternative route is available via Charleston Way; Creel Avenue, Aberdeen, from the entrance to the car park for numbers 8-14 Creel Avenue to the boundary between number 21 and 23 Creel Avenue from 08:00 on 17th July, 2020, until 17:00 on 18th July, 2020. An alternative route is available via Creel Place, Cove Crescent and Creel Road; Charleston Way, Aberdeen, between its northern junction with Charleston Crescent to the boundary between number 38 Charleston Crescent and 25 Charleston Way from 08:00 on 20th July, 2020, until 17:00 on 21st July, 2020. An alternative route is available via Charleston Crescent; Creel Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Creel Avenue and Cove Crescent from 08:00 on 20th July, 2020, until 17:00 on 21st July, 2020. An alternative route is available via Creel Avenue, Creel Road and Cove Crescent; Charleston Crescent, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 42 and 44 Charleston Crescent to the boundary between number 46 and 48 Charleston Crescent from 08:00 on 22nd July, 2020, until 17:00 on 23rd July, 2020. An alternative route is available via Charleston Road.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Charleston Crescent, Charleston Road, Charleston Way, Cove Close, Cove Crescent, Cove Gardens, Cove Road, Creel Avenue, Creel Court, Creel Drive, Creel Place, Creel Road, Creel Walk, Creel Wynd, Scylla Drive, Scylla Gardens, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 9th July, 2020, until 17:00 on 19th August, 2020.
Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
Due to any ongoing Covid-19 restrictions, the no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required.

The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
