Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order, which will operate from 07:00 - 18:00 DAILY FROM SATURDAY 30TH MAY 2020 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE, is to impose both a prohibition of driving and prohibition of waiting on the following routes -
Union Street - from its junction with Bridge St to Market St
Back Wynd - From its junction with Gaelic Lane to Union St
Belmont St - from its junction with Gaelic Lane to Union St
Schoolhill - from its junction with Harriet St to Upperkirkgate
Upperkirkgate - from its junction with Schoolhill to Flourmill Lane.
There will also be a revoke of RIGHT TURN on Union St from Bridge St.
The measures are necessary to allow socially distance spacing for members of the public.
Alternative Route: Union Street, Market Street, Guild Street, Bridge Street and Union Terrace, Schoolhill, Blackfriars Street, St Andrews Street, Charlotte Street, John Street, Berry Street and Gallowgate.
