Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Waverley Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Rubislaw Place and Waverley Lane from 08:00 on 6th April, 2020, until 17:00 on 7th April, 2020. An alternative route is available via Victoria Street, Alford Place, Albyn Place & Rubislaw Place; Thistle Lane, Aberdeen, between its junction with Skene Street and the rear on number 178 Skene Street from 08:00 on 16th April, 2020, until 17:00 on 17th April, 2020. An alternative route is available via Skene Street, Rose Street and Margaret Street; Victoria Street, Aberdeen, between its junction with Carden Place and the boundary between number 54 and 56 Victoria Street from 08:00 on 20th April, 2020, until 17:00 on 21st April, 2020; An alternative route is available via Carden Place, Albert Street and Waverley Place
There will also be a temporary one-way restriction on Whitehall Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Albert Street and Esslemont Avenue from 08:00 on 18th April, 2020, until 17:00 on 19th April, 2020. The permitted direction of travel will be westbound only. An alternative route for eastbound vehicles is available via Albert Street, Carden Place and Esslemont Avenue and also on Albert Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Carden Place and Whitehall Place from 08:00 on 25th April, 2020, until 17:00 on 26th April, 2020.The permitted direction of travel will be northbound only. An alternative route for southbound vehicles is available via Whitehall Place, Esslemont Avenue and Carden Place
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Albert Den, Albert Lane, Albert Place, Albert Street, Carden Place, Esslemont Avenue, Huntly Street, Margaret Street, Northfield Place, Rose Street, Skene Street, Thistle Lane, Victoria Street, Waverley Place, Whitehall Place, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 30th March, 2020, until 17:00 on 10th May, 2020.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time.
