Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Westerton Crescent, Aberdeen, from the gable end of number 1 Westerton Crescent to the boundary between number 7 and 9 Westerton Crescent from 08:00 on 24th February, 2020, until 17:00 on 25th February, 2020. An alternative route is available via Marchburn Road, Byron Crescent and Weaver Row; Westerton Crescent, Aberdeen, between its junction with Marchburn Road and the gable end of number 2 Westerton Crescent from 08:00 on 26th February, 2020, until 17:00 on 27th February, 2020. An alternative route is available via Marchburn Road, Byron Crescent and Weaver Row; Byron Crescent, Aberdeen, between its junction with Marchburn Road and the gable end of number 2 Byron Crescent from 08:00 on 2nd March, 2020, until 17:00 on 3rd March, 2020. An alternative route is available via Marchburn Road, Westerton Crescent and Weaver Row.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Byron Avenue, Byron Crescent, Deansloch Terrace, Kettlehills Lane, Kettlehills Road, Marchburn Road, Quarry Place, Quarry Road, Stewart Terrace, Westerton Crescent, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 24th February, 2020, until 17:00 on 22nd March, 2020.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
