Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the Order, which will operate from 07:30 on 27 January 2020, until 18:00 on 15 November 2020, is to impose a one-way restriction on Union Terrace, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Union Street and Rosemount Viaduct. The direction of flow will be northbound. There will also be a suspension of waiting on the west side of the same stretch of road, including motorcycle and disabled parking. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. There will also be a designated loading and unloading area on the west side of Union Terrace, Aberdeen, between the south boundary of 25 Union Terrace and the north boundary of 27 to 29 Union Terrace. These measures are necessary to protect public safety during works by Balfour Beatty.

Alternative Route: An alternative route is available via Skene Street (Eastbound), Woolmanhill roundabout, Denburn Road, Wapping Street, Carmelite Street, Guild Street and Bridge Street.
