Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the order, which will operate from 07:30 until 16:00 from 27 January, 2020, till 29 January, 2020, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Queen Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Shoe Lane and a point 30 metres or thereby south of this junction. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. During this time the existing one-way restriction on Queen Street, Aberdeen, shall be suspended. This will mean the northern loop will be two-way to access and egress Poultry Market Lane. There will also be a suspension of waiting on either side of Queen Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Shoe Lane and the west boundary of 29-31 Queen Street, Including disabled parking, motorcycle and cowheels parking. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during crane operations.
