Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the order is to impose a one-way restriction on Castle Terrace, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Commerce Street and Fish Street from 07:00 on 18th January, 2020, until 22:00 on 19th January, 2020 and also from 07:00 on 25th January, 2020, until 22:00 on 26th January, 2020. The permitted direction of travel will be eastbound only.
There will also be a prohibition of driving on Hanover Street, Aberdeen, between its junction with Castle Terrace and the entrance to Geo House from 07:00 on 20th January, 2020, until 22:00 on 24th January, 2020. The one-way restriction on Hanover Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Castle Terrace and Castlehill will be suspended from 07:00 on 20th January, 2020, until 22:00 on 24th January, 2020.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of Hanover Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Castle Terrace and Castlehill from 07:00 on 20th January, 2020, until 07:00 on 27th January, 2020 and also on either side of Hanover Street, Aberdeen, between its junction with Castlehill and the entrance to Hanover Street School from 07:00 on 27th January, 2020, until 22:00 on 2nd February, 2020.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.

Alternative Route: An alternative route for westbound vehicles is available via Miller Street, St Clements Street, Wellington Street, Links Road, Beach Boulevard, Justice Port Roundabout and Commerce Street.An alternative route is available via Castle Terrace, Cotton Street, Links Road, and Beach Boulevard.
