Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
Denmore Gardens, Aberdeen, between its western junction with Cairnfold Road and the boundary between number 27 and 29 Denmore Gardens from 08:00 on 24th October, 2019, until 17:00 on 25th October, 2019. An alternative route is available via Cairnfold Road; Cairnfold Road, Aberdeen, between its western junction with Denmore Gardens and the boundary between number 10 and 12 Cairnfold Road from 08:00 on 28th October, 2019, until 17:00 on 29th October, 2019. An alternative route is available via Denmore Gardens; Cairnfold Road, Aberdeen, between its eastern junction with Denmore Gardens and the gable end of number 3 Cairnfold Road from 08:00 on 30th October, 2019, until 17:00 on 31st October, 2019. An alternative route is available via Denmore Gardens; Park View, Aberdeen, from the gable end of number 1 Park View to the gable end of number 5 Park View from 08:00 on 12th November, 2019, until 17:00 on 13th November, 2019. An alternative route is available via Gordon Road and Scotstown Road.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Balgownie Crescent, Bellfield Road, Corunna Grove, Corunna Place, Corunna Road, Ellon Road, Fraserfield Gardens, Hutcheon Gardens, Mount Pleasant, North Donside Road, Park View, Simpson Road, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 23rd October, 2019, until 17:00 on 3rd December, 2019.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
