Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Great Northern Road service road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Barron Street and Great Northern Road from 08:00 on 26th September, 2019, until 17:00 on 27th September, 2019. An alternative route is available via Barron Street and Great Northern Road.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Barron Street, Ferrier Crescent, Ferrier Gardens, Great Northern Road, Sandilands Drive, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 2nd September, 2019, until 17:00 on 13th October, 2019.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
The no-waiting restrictions will not be implemented for the full duration of the order and will only be implemented as and when required. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
