Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Garthdee Drive, Aberdeen, between its junction with Auchinyell Terrace and the footpath at the rear of 16 Auchinyell Terrace from 08:00 on 22nd August, 2019, until 17:00 on 23rd August, 2019. There will also be a prohibition of traverse on the footpaths on Garthdee Drive, Aberdeen between numbers 175, southwards to Ramsay Crescent, and number 93 up to, and including the section of footway on Craigievar Place, at the entrance to number 98 from 08:00 on 22nd August, 2019, until 17:00 on 31st August, 2019.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; Aboyne Gardens, Aboyne Place, Aboyne Road, Auchinyell Gardens, Auchinyell Road, Auchinyell Terrace, Craigievar Crescent, Craigievar Gardens, Craigievar Place, Garthdee Drive, Inchbrae Drive, Pitmedden Road, Ramsay Crescent, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 22nd August, 2019, until 17:00 on 2nd October, 2019.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
The no-waiting restrictions will only be implemented as and when required, and will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
