Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the order, which will operate from 07:00 on 30 May, 2019, until 22:00 on 5 June, 2019, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Kings Gate, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Oakhill Road and Woodstock Road. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. The existing prohibition of right turn manoeuvres from Kings Gate, Aberdeen, on to Moray Place shall be suspended. There will be a prohibition of waiting on the north side of Morningfield Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Forest Road and lighting pole number 2 approximately 38 metres in a westerly direction, and on the east side of Forest Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Hamilton Place and boundary between numbers 59 and 61 Forest Road. The parking restrictions are required to allow buses to manoeuvre the diversion route. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during sewer repair works on Kings Gate.
