Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets; George Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Hutcheon Street and St Andrew Street, and St Andrew Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Jopps Lane and Charlotte Street from 06:00 on 27 May, 2019, until 06:00 on 30 May, 2019. George Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Powis Terrace and Fraser Place, from 06:00 on 30 May, 2019, until 23:30 on 31 May, 2019. Access to properties will be maintained when possible. There will be a prohibition of waiting at any time on the following streets; George Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Hutcheon Street and St Andrew Street, from 06:00 on 27 May, 2019, until 06:00 on 30 May, 2019. George Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Powis Terrace and Fraser Place, from 06:00 on 30 May, 2019, until 23:30 on 31 May, 2019. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during carriageway surfacing works.
