Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
1.Carnie Drive, Aberdeen, between its southern junction with Gillespie Crescent and a point 20 metres in a north easterly direction from 08:00 on 24th May, 2019, until 17:00 on 25th May, 2019.
2.Beattie Place, Aberdeen, between its junction with Carnie Drive and gable end of number 13-23 Beattie Place from 28th May, 2019, until 17:00 on 29th May, 2019.
3.Gillespie Crescent, Aberdeen, from the gable end of number 62-72 Gillespie Crescent to the boundary between number 62-72 and 74-84 Gillespie Crescent from 08:00 on 30th May, 2019, until 17:00 on 1st June, 2019.
4.Gillespie Crescent, Aberdeen, between its southern junction with Gillespie Place to the boundary between number 26-36 and 38-48 Gillespie Crescent from 08:00 on 3rd June, 2019, until 17:00 on 4th June, 2019.
5.Gillespie Place, Aberdeen, between its southern junction with Gillespie Crescent and a point 20 metres in a north easterly direction from 08:00 on 5th June, 2019, until 17:00 on 6th June, 2019.
6.Beattie Avenue, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Ashgrove Road and Elder Place from 08:00 on 7th June, 2019, until 17:00 on 8th June, 2019.
7.Elder Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Beattie Avenue and Beattie Place from 08:00 on 10th June, 2019, until 17:00 on 11th June, 2019.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat;
Back Hilton Road, Beattie Avenue, Beattie Place, Cadenhead Place, Carnie Drive, Cattofield Gardens, Elder Place, Gillespie Crescent, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 23rd May, 2019, until 17:00 on 3rd July, 2019.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
The no-waiting restrictions will only be implemented as and when required, and will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time.
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
