Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
1.Abbey Place, Aberdeen, between its junction with Victoria Road and the entrance to the car park at the rear of numbers 251-253 Victoria Road from 08:00 on 9th April, 2019, until 17:00 on 10th April, 2019.
2.Glenbervie Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Abbey Place and the boundary between number 145 and 147 Glenbervie Road from 08:00 on 10th April, 2019, until 17:00 on 11th April, 2019.
3.Abbey Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Victoria Road and Glenbervie Lane from 08:00 on 16th April, 2019, until 17:00 on 17th April, 2019.
4.Mansfield Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Victoria Road and the entrance to the car park at the of numbers 36-40 Mansfield Road from 08:00 on 24th April, 2019, until 17:00 on 25th April, 2019.
5.Glenbervie Lane, Aberdeen, between its junction with Mansfield Road a point 10 metres in an easterly direction from 08:00 on 24th April, 2019, until 17:00 on 25th April, 2019.
There will also be a prohibition of traverse on Balnagask Road, Aberdeen, on the footpath at the rear of 437-495 Balnagask Road from the junction with Finnan Brae to the junction with Pentland Road from 08:00 on 9th April, 2019, until 17:00 on 16th April, 2019. An alternative route is available via Finnan Brae and Balnagask Road.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat;
Abbey Road, Abbey Place, Girdlestone Place, Glenbervie Road, Mansfield Road, Victoria Road, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 8th April, 2019, until 17:00 on 19th May, 2019.
The no-waiting restrictions will only be implemented as and when required, and will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
