Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on the following streets;
1.Finnan Brae, Aberdeen, between its junctions with North Balnagask Road and Pentland Road from 08:00 on 20th February, 2019, until 17:00 on 21st February, 2019.2.Mansfield Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with North Loirston Place and the boundary between numbers 78-84 and 86-92 Mansfield Road from 08:00 on 4th March, 2019, until 17:00 on 5th March, 2019. 3.Pentland Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Finnan Brae and Balnagask Road from 08:00 on 6th March, 2019, until 17:00 on 9th March, 2019.
4.Abbey Square, Aberdeen, from the gable end of number 22 Abbey Square to the boundary between number 12 and 14 Abbey Square from 08:00 on 19th March, 2019, until 17:00 on 20th March, 2019.
5.Abbey Square, Aberdeen, from the gable end of number 34 Abbey Square to the boundary between number 40 and 42 Abbey Square from 08:00 on 21st March, 2019, until 17:00 on 22nd March, 2019. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat;
Abbey Place, Abbey Square, Balnagask Place, Balnagask Road, Finnan Brae, Finnan Place, Girdlestone Place, Loirston Place, Mansfield Road, North Balnagask Road, Pentland Road, Aberdeen from 08:00 on 18th February, 2019, until 17:00 on 31st March, 2019.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
The no-waiting restrictions will only be implemented as and when required, and will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
