Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984
The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on 1. Old Church Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Balnagask Road and a point 10 metres in a southerly direction from 08:00 on 9th January, 2019, until 17:00 on 10th January, 2019. 2. Fernie Brae, Aberdeen, between its junction with Girdleness Road and a point 10 metres in a southerly direction from 08:00 on 15th January, 2019, until 17:00 on 16th January, 2019. 3. Kirkhill Road, Aberdeen, from the boundary between number 58-60 and 62 Kirkhill Road to the boundary between number 64 and 66 Kirkhill Road from 08:00 on 1st February, 2019, until 17:00 on 2nd February, 2019. 4. Old Church Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Girdleness Terrace and a point 10 metres in a northerly direction from 08:00 on 6th February, 2019, until 17:00 on 7th February, 2019. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible.
There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side on the following streets between 08:00 and 17:00 Mon-Sat; A956 Wellington Road, Balnagask Road, Fernie Brae, Girdleness Road, Girdleness Terrace, Kerloch Gardens, Kerloch Place, Kirkhill Road and Old Church Road from 08:00 on 7th January, 2019, until 17:00 on 17th February, 2019.
Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense.
The no-waiting restrictions will only be implemented as and when required and will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones for no more than 100 metres at a time.
The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre.
