Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 62(1) of the Roads Scotland Act 1984

The effect of this order, which will operate from 05:00 on 12 November 2018, until 23:30 on 6 January 2019, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Broad Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Gallowgate and Queen Street. From 18:00 on 16 November 2018, until 23:30 on 6 January 2019, Upperkirkgate, Aberdeen, is to close between its junctions with Gallowgate and Flourmill Lane and also Gallowgate Aberdeen, between its junctions with Little John Street and Upperkirkgate. The effect of the Second Order, which will operate from 05:00 on 12 November 2018, until 23:30 on 6 January 2019, is to impose various restrictions within Aberdeen City Centre as part of the Winter Festival. There will be no waiting for any purpose on either side of Broad Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Union Street and Queen Street. And on the south side of Littlejohn Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Gallowgate and West North Street with the exception of Blue Badge holders and the Co-wheels Car Club and finally on the north side of Queen Street, Aberdeen, from a point 18 metres north east of its junction with Broad Street, north eastwards for a distance of 20 metres or thereby, with the exception of vehicles loading and unloading, and from a point 38 metres or thereby north east of its junction with Broad Street, north eastwards for a distance of 20 metres or thereby, with the exception of Blue Badge holders and the Co-wheels Car Club. From 11:30 on the 24 November 2018 until 16:30 on the 30 December 2018, the parking restriction within the Loading bay on Flourmill Lane, Aberdeen, (outside Marischal Square One) will be suspended for the use of the Christmas Land Train.
From 23:50 on 18 November 2018, until 16:00 on 21 December 2018 there will be no waiting for any purpose, except on the west side of Charlotte Street, Aberdeen, between the hours of 08:00 and 16:00, Monday to Friday, from its junction with St Andrews Street, northwards, for a distance of 80 metres or thereby with the exception of school buses. From 11:30 on the 24 November 2018 until 16:30 on the 30 December 2018 the existing No Entry from Broad Street, Aberdeen on to Netherkirkgate shall be suspended for the Christmas Land Train.
From 14:00 on 16 November 2018, until 23:30 on 6 January 2019, a no waiting for any purpose restriction will be imposed on either side of the roads as contained within Schedule One below:
Also, there will be no waiting for any purpose on the south side of Skene Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Rosemount Viaduct and Woolmanhill Roundabout, except within the existing layby, northeast of its junction with Spa Street for the purpose of loading or unloading of buses. These measures are necessary to facilitate the Christmas Village.

Schoolhill, Aberdeen- The whole length including the inset section of Schoolhill, except on the south side from a point 20 metres or thereby east of its junction with Belmont Street, eastwards for a distance of 32 metres or thereby and from a point 10 metres or thereby east of its junction with Back Wynd, eastwards for a distance of 30 metres or thereby for loading or unloading.
Skene Street, Aberdeen- Between Rosemount Viaduct and Woolmanhill Roundabout, except from a point 30 metres or thereby, northeast of its junction with Spa Street, northwards for a distance of 60 metres or thereby, between the hours of 13:00 and 16:00, Monday to Friday, for the purpose of loading or unloading of buses.

Alternative Route: An alternative route is available via Castle Street, King Street, West North Street, Mounthooly Roundabout and Gallowgate.
