Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the order, which will operate from 00:00 on 14th August, 2018, until 23:59 on 11th July, 2019, is to impose a temporary prohibition of waiting on Greenburn Road and Greenburn Drive as defined in the first schedule below. Exemptions will apply as usual to the picking up or setting down of passengers, loading or unloading, blue badge holders not causing an obstruction, funeral vehicles, and vehicles parked with the consent of the Council in direct association with authorised roadworks or building works. Additionally, certain lengths of mandatory 20mph speed limit will be imposed on the streets listed in the second schedule.

The measures are necessary to ensure road safety around the new school while a permanent Traffic Regulation Order is progressed.

First Schedule
(Prohibition of Waiting At Any Time)

Greenburn Road

Both sides, from its eastern most junction with Greenburn Drive, westwards for a distance of 10 metres.

Greenburn Drive

East side, from its eastern most junction with Greenburn Road, southwards for a distance of 10 metres.

East side, from its eastern most junction with Greenburn Road, northwards for a distance of 10 metres.

Second Schedule
(20mph speed limit)

Waterton Road
For its entirety.

Lade Crescent
For its entirety.


The above orders can be inspected during normal office hours on weekdays in the offices of the Councils Communities Housing and infrastructure department at Marischal College, Broad Street, Aberdeen. Any person who wishes to question the validity of these orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant section of the Act, or that any of the relevant requirements arising from the Act have not been complied with in relation to the order, may within six weeks of 14 August, 2018, apply to the Court of Session for this purpose.
