Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 07:30 on 7 May, 2018, until 24:00 on 8 May, 2018, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Richmond Terrace, Aberdeen, between its junctions with West Mount Street and the entrance to Richmond Court. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of Richmond Terrace, Aberdeen, between its junctions with West Mount Street and the entrance to Richmond Court and on east side of Richmond Terrace, Aberdeen, between the north boundary of ten Richmond Terrace, and the south boundary of six Richmond Terrace. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. During this time, the existing one way restriction on Richmond Terrace, Aberdeen, shall be suspended. . The measures are necessary to protect public safety during crane lifting works. An alternative route is available via Rosemount Place, Skene Square, Rosemount Terrace, Westburn Road, Mount Street and West Mount Street.
