Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 08:00 on 1 March, 2018, until 23:00 on 31 August, 2019, is to impose a temporary prohibition of waiting for any purpose on Fairlie Street, Smithfield Drive, Fowler Avenue and Unnamed Access Road serving Smithfield Court, Aberdeen, as defined in the schedule below.. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. The measure is necessary to prevent obstructive parking and thereby ensure emergency vehicle access. Schedule Fairlie Street North side, from a point 5 metres or thereby north of its junction with Smithfield Drive, south-eastwards, then south-westwards, then westwards and then northwards for a distance of 52 metres or thereby. North side, from a point 50 metres or thereby west of its junction with Smithfield Drive, southwards, then westwards, then northwards for a distance of 13 metres or thereby. Unnamed access road serving car park for properties 1 to 58 Smithfield Court East side, from its junction with Fairlie Street, mostly northwards, then westwards for a distance of 29 metres or thereby. Smithfield Drive North side, from the entrance of Smithfield Court, north-eastwards, then eastwards, then southwards and then south-eastwards for a distance of 21 metres or thereby. South side, from its junction with Fowler Avenue, eastwards for a distance of 3 metres or thereby. Fowler Avenue East side, from its junction with Smithfield Drive, southwards, then westwards and then northwards for a distance of 27 metres or thereby.
