Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 08:00 on 12 March, 2018, until 22:00 1 April, 2018, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Don Terrace, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Gordons Mills Road and Don Gardens. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on Don Terrace, Aberdeen, from its junction with Gordons Mills Road and the eastern boundary of number 20 Don Terrace. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during gas main replacement works being carried out by SGN. An alternative route is available via Don Street, Great Northern Road, and Station Road.
