Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Dyce Drive, Aberdeen, between its junctions with the A96 Inverurie Road and Wellheads Drive, from 15:46 on 24 October, 2017, until 04:00 on 13 November, 2017. There will then be a one-way restriction on the same stretch of road from 04:00 on 13 November, 2017, until, 04:00 on 4 December, 2017. The permitted direction of travel will be northbound only. There will be another one-way restriction on the same stretch of road from 19:00 on 5 January, 2018 until 04:00 on 8 January, 2018. This time the permitted direction of travel will be southbound only. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during works to form a new entrance for the new AECC, and for Scottish Water diversion works. An alternative route for all restrictions is available via the A96 Inverurie Road and Airport Road or vice versa.
