Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 19:00 on 13 October, 2017, until 16:00 on 5 November, 2017, is to impose a temporary 7.5 tonne weight restriction on the following roads; Park Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Seaforth Road and Roslin Terrace; Urquhart Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Links Road and King Street; Urquhart Lane, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Seaforth Road and Urquhart Road; Urquhart Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Seaforth Road and Urquhart Road. Scheduled bus services and vehicles serving properties within the restricted area shall be exempt. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during works to install a new signalised junction. An alternative route is available via East North Street and King Street.
