Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 08:00 on 21 October, 2017, until 22:00 on 3 November, 2017, is to impose a temporary one-way restriction on Forest Avenue, Aberdeen, between its junction with Great Western Road and Forest Avenue Lane. The permitted direction of travel will be north-westbound only. There will also be a one-way restriction on Gray Street, Aberdeen, between its junction with Great Western Road and the access to the Mariner Hotel, and also on Salisbury Terrace, Aberdeen, between its junction with Great Western Road and the access to the garages at the rear of numbers 323-325 Great Western Road. The permitted direction of travel will be south-eastbound only. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during works being carried out by Scottish Water. 1.An alternative route for south-eastbound vehicles on Forest Avenue is available via Cromwell Road, Anderson Drive, and Great Western Road. 2.An alternative route for north-westbound vehicles on Gray Street and Salisbury Terrace is available via Broomhill Road, South Anderson Drive, and Great Western Road.
