Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 07:30 on 30 October, 2017, until 22:00 on 20 November, 2017, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Viewfield Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Kepplestone Gardens and the access to the Gordon Highlanders Museum. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of Viewfield Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Kepplestone Gardens and Kepplestone Avenue. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during gas main replacement works being carries out by SGN. An alternative route is available via Rubislaw Park Crescent, Rubislaw Park Road, and Queens Road.
