Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Seaton Lane, Aberdeen, between its junction with School Road and a point 20 metres in a northerly direction from 08:00 on 18th October, 2017, until 22:00 on 19th October, 2017. There will also be a prohibition of driving on School Drive, Aberdeen, between its junction with School Avenue and a point 10 metres in an easterly direction from 08:00 until 22:00 on 27th October, 2017. An alternative route is available via School Avenue, Regent Walk, Golf Road and School Road. There will also be a temporary prohibition of waiting on the following roads; On the west side of Seaton Lane, Aberdeen, between its junction with School Road and a point 20 metres in a northerly direction from 08:00 on 18th October, 2017, until 22:00 on 19th October, 2017; Either side of School Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Seaton Lane and School Terrace from 08:00 on 20th October, 2017, until 22:00 on 21st October, 2017; On the south side of School Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with School Terrace and School Avenue from 08:00 on 22nd October, 2017, until 22:00 on 23rd October, 2017; On the east side of School Avenue, Aberdeen, between its junctions with School Road and School Drive from 08:00 on 24th October, 2017, until 22:00 on 26th October, 2017; On the south side of School Drive, Aberdeen, between its junction with School Avenue and a point 10 metres in an easterly direction from 08:00 until 22:00 on 27th October, 2017; On the east side of School Avenue, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Regent Walk and School Drive from 08:00 on 27th October, 2017, until 22:00 on 28th October, 2017. The no-waiting restrictions will only be implemented as and when required, and will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during duct laying works being carried out by City Fibre. An alternative route is available via Seaton Crescent, Seaton Place East and Seaton Drive.
