Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Countesswells Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Craigielea Avenue and the gable end of number 11 Countesswells Road from 08:00 on 13th November, 2017, until 08:00 on 17th November, 2017 and also from 08:00 on 21st November, 2017, until 22:00 on 22nd November, 2017. An alternative route is available via Great Western Road, Craigton Road and Kenfield Crescent. There will be a temporary one-way restriction on Countesswells Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Craigielea Avenue and Great Western Road. The permitted direction of travel will be southbound only from 08:00 on 17th November, 2017, until 08:00 on 21st November, 2017. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of Countesswells Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Craigielea Avenue and the gable end of number 9 Countesswells Road from 08:00 on 13th November, 2017, until 22:00 on 22nd November, 2017. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during Openreach works. An alternative route for northbound travel is available via Great Western Road, Craigton Road and Kenfield Crescent.
