Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 08:00 until 22:00 on 17 October, 2017 is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Ladywell Place, Aberdeen, between its junction with Girdleness Road and the gable end of number 2 Ladywell Place. An alternative route is available via Kirkhill Road and Gregness Gardens. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of Girdleness Road, Aberdeen, from the gable end of number 148 Girdleness Road to the gable end of number 144 Girdleness Road. Illegally parked vehicles will be removed at the owners expense. The no-waiting restrictions will be demarcated by the use of no-waiting cones. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during Scottish Water ironworks.
