Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order from 05:30 on 16 October, 2017, until 22:00 on 10 November, 2017, is to impose a temporary one-way westbound restriction on Thistle Street, Aberdeen, between its junction with Victoria Street and the western boundary of number 69 Thistle Street, and on Waverley Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Victoria Street and Rubislaw Place, An alternative route for eastbound vehicles is available via Rubislaw Place, Alford Place, Union Street, and Rose Street. There will be a one-way northbound restriction on Victoria Street, Aberdeen, between its junction with Thistle Street and the boundary between numbers 17 and 19 Victoria Street, An alternative route for southbound vehicles is available via Carden Place, Albert Street, Waverley Place, Rubislaw Place, Alford Place, Union Street, and Rose Street. Waverley Lane, Aberdeen, will be closed between its junction with Waverley Place and a point 5 metres in a northerly direction. From 05:30 on 16 October, 2017, until 22:00 on 26 November, 2017, Victoria Street, Aberdeen, will be closed between its junction with Thistle Street and a point 5 metres in a southerly direction. An alternative route is available via Waverley Place, Rubislaw Place, Alford Place, Union Street, Rose Street, and Thistle Street. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on the east side of Victoria Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Thistle Street and Thistle Place. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during gas main refurbishment works being carried out by SGN. An alternative route is available via Carden Place, Albert Street, Waverley Place, Rubislaw Place, Alford Place, Union Street, and Rose Street.
