Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 09:30 until 15:30 on 22 August, 2017, is to impose a temporary one-way restriction on Viewfield Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Queens Road and Viewfield Mews. The permitted direction of travel will be southbound only. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on the southern side of Queens Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Viewfield Road and the eastern gable of number 169 Queens Road. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during ironwork repairs being carried out by Scottish Water. An alternative route is available via Rubislaw Park Crescent.
