Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 07:30 until 22:00 on 29 August, 2017, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Cairnfield Place, Aberdeen, between its junction with Hosefield Road and the gable end of numbers 35 to 37 Cairnfield Place. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. An alternative route is available via Mid Stocket Road, Mile-End Avenue and Westburn Road. There will also be a temporary one-way restriction on Cairnfield Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Hosefield Road and Mid Stocket Road. The permitted direction of travel will be southbound only. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on either side of Cairnfield Place, Aberdeen, from the gable end of numbers 35 to 37 Cairnfield Place to the junction of Mid Stocket Road. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during Scottish Water ironworks. An alternative route is available via Mid Stocket Road and Hosefield Road.
