Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 00:01 on 24 June, 2017, until 22:00 on 10 December, 2017, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Upperkirkgate, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Flourmill Lane and Gallowgate. Gallowgate, Aberden will be closed at the same time, between its junctions with Upperkirkgate and Little John Street. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during Broad Street refurbishment works. Alternate Route : The same alternative route applies to both closures: via Schoolhill, Blackfriars Street, St Andrew Street, Charlotte Street, John Street, Loch Street and Berry Street.
