Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 07:30 on 10 July, 2017, until 22:00 on 16 July, 2017 is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Whitestripes Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with B997 Scotstown Road and Upper Persley Road from 07:30 on 10 July, 2017, until 22:00 on 14 July, 2017. There will also be a prohibition of driving on Scotstown Road, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Whitestripes Road and Shielhill Road from 07:30 on 15 July, 2017, until 22:00 on 16 July, 2017. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during SSE works. An alternative route is available for Whitestripes Road via Whitestripes Avenue, A90 Parkway and B997 Scotstown Road. An alternative route is available for Scotstown Road via B997 Scotstown Road, A90 Parkway, Whitestripes Avenue and Whitestripes Road.
