Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers Under Section 62(1) of the Roads Scotland Act 1984

Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named orders in terms of its powers under section 62(1) of the Roads (Scotland) Act 1984, and section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 respectively. The effect of the first order is to impose a prohibition of driving on Albyn Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Albyn Grove and Victoria Street, and also on Alford Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Victoria Street and Union Street, from 09:00 to 11:30 on 24 June, 2017. There shall also be a prohibition of driving on the following roads from 10:45 to 12:30 on 24 June, 2017 Union Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Holburn Street and Castle Street Back Wynd, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Schoolhill and Union Street Castle Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Union Street and King Street King Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Castle Street and West North Street. Chapel Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Union Street and Thistle Street The second order allows for the existing prohibitions of right turns from King Street, Aberdeen, on to West North Street, from Rosemount Viaduct, Aberdeen, on to Skene Street, and from Holburn Street, Aberdeen, on to Willowbank Road, will be suspended temporarily between 10:45 to 12:30 on 24 June, 2017. Also left turns from Hadden Street, Aberdeen, on to Market Street, will be suspended temporarily between 10:45 to 12:30 on 24 June, 2017. The one way restriction on Exchequer Row, Aberdeen and Shiprow, Aberdeen, shall be suspended for the during this time. There will also be a suspension of parking on the north side of Albyn Place, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Albyn Grove and Rubislaw Place, from 18:00 on 23 June, 2017 until 12:00 on 24 June, 2017. Parade vehicles will be exempt. From 10:00 to 13:00 on 24 June, 2017, there will be a suspension all waiting for any purpose, with the exception of any waiting Taxi, on the west side of Chapel Street, Aberdeen, north of the junction with Thistle Street for 53 Metres or thereby. This is to provide a temporary Taxi rank for this period. The measures are in the interests of safety, to allow the planned Armed Forces Parade to take place safely. Various alternative routes shall be available.
