Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 05:30 on 31 July, 2017, until 19:00 on 6 August, 2017, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Howes Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Davidson Drive and the entrance to Heathryburn School and also on Davidson Drive, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Howes Road and Davidson Gardens. There will also be a prohibition of waiting on Howes Road, Aberdeen, between its junction with Davidson Drive and the entrance to Heathryburn School from 08:00-17:00 daily and also on either side of both the northern and southern carriageways of Davidson Gardens, Aberdeen between the junction with Springhill Road and the boundary between number 4 and 6 Davidson Gardens. There will also be a suspension of the one-way system on both the northern and southern carriageways of Davidson Gardens, Aberdeen between the junction with Davidson Drive and a point 20 metres west of the junction with Springhill Road. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. The measures are necessary to protect public safety during carriageway resurfacing works. An alternative route is available via Lintmill Terrace, Springhill Road and Cruden Place.
