Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 07:30 on 15 May, 2017, until 24:00 on 23 July, 2017, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Pittodrie Lane, Aberdeen, between its junctions with Pittodrie Street and Merkland Road East. Access to properties will be maintained, but no through traffic will be possible. There will also be a suspension of waiting on either side of the same section of road. From 07:30 on 15 May, 2017, until 24:00 on 9 July, 2017, there will be a temporary prohibition of driving on Pittodrie Street, Aberdeen, between its west junction with Pittodrie Lane to the east boundary of 9 Pittodrie Street. There will also be a suspension of waiting on either side of the same section of road. During this time, the existing one way restriction on Pittodrie Street, Aberdeen, between its junctions with King Street and Pittodrie Lane, will be suspended. From 07:30 on 8 June, 2017, until 24:00 on 15 June, 2017, there will be a temporary prohibition of driving on Pittodrie Lane, Aberdeen, between its junction with Pittodrie Street and the south boundary of 430 King Street. There will also be a suspension of waiting on either side of the same section of road. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during sewer diversion works by Robertson Construction. An alternative route for Pittodrie Lane is available via King Street, Merkland Road East, and Pittodrie Lane. An alternative route for Pittodrie Street is available via Ardarroch Road, Pittodrie Place, King Street and Pittodrie Street. An alternative route for the second closure of Pittodrie Lane is available via King Street, Merkland Road East, Ardarroch Road and Pittodrie Place.
