Aberdeen City Council has made the above-named order in terms of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the order, which will operate from 19:00 on Sunday 28 May, 2017, until 06:00 on Monday 29 May, 2017, is to impose a temporary prohibition of driving on Great Western Road, Aberdeen, from its eastern junction with South Anderson Drive to a point 10 metres in an easterly direction. The measure is necessary to protect public safety during ironwork repairs being carried out by Scottish Water. An alternative route is available via the A90 Anderson Drive, Queens Road, Albyn Place, Alford Place and Holburn Street.
