The Drumbeg Historic Marine Protected Area (MPA) came into force under urgent procedures on 18 March 2013. Historic Scotland is consulting on this designation and proposals for a further six Historic MPAs, all of which have been prepared under the provisions of the Marine (Scotland) Act 2010.
