On 14/09/15 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, made the above-named Order that continues the restrictions imposed by East Ayrshire Council (Mill Road, Newmilns) (Temporary Closure) Notice 2015 which expires at 24:00 hrs on 22/09/15. The Notice and Order make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on Mill Road (from Darvel Rd southwards for a distance of 35m), Newmilns (except vehicles engaged on the culvert works), by reason of works to be executed on or near the road.
This Order is in force from 24:00 hrs on 22/09/15 until 24:00 hrs on 30/10/15, or until the works are complete whichever is earlier and the Order will be implemented only when appropriate signs are displayed.
Pedestrian access will be maintained throughout the closure period.
Alternative Route: via Darvel Rd, Isles St, Union St and Ladeside and vice versa.
