On 29/07/15 the Council, in exercise of the powers conferred on them under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, and of all other enabling powers, made the above-named Order which will make it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle or for any person to travel on the roads stated below. The maximum affected length of roads is 50m either side of each bridge/culvert. The closures are required to facilitate bridge or culvert works.

 

The Order is in force from 00:01 hrs on 10/08/15 until 24:00 hrs on 15/11/15 and will only be implemented when appropriate signs are displayed.

 

The anticipated duration of each bridge/culvert closure is weather dependent.

From 00:01 hrs on 10/08/15 to 24:00 hrs on 30/10/15

Gardrum Mill Burn Culvert, Route U64 near Fenwick, duration of closure 7 weeks. Alternative Route: via U64, B778, and A77 and vice versa.

 

ROAD CLOSED TO ALL VEHICULAR TRAFFIC Pedestrian access will be maintained.

 

From 00:01 hrs on 17/08/15 to 24:00 hrs on 15/11/15

Burnside Bridge, Route B730 near Drongan, duration of closure 6 weeks. Alternative Route: via B730, A70, B742 and A713 and vice versa.

 

From 07:00 hrs on 17/08/15 to 16:00 hrs on 18/09/15

Mill Road, Newmilns, duration of closure 4 weeks. Alternative Route: via Darvel Rd, Isles St, Union St and Ladeside and vice versa.
